Sleep is one of the most important aspects of our physical AND mental health. When we don’t sleep well, everything is affected. We can be grouchy, depressed, and anxious. Poor sleep can contribute to weight gain, make pain worse, and slow healing. Recent research data even suggests that a vast majority of depressive symptoms are caused by poor sleep.

The good news is that insomnia is very treatable and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is far and away the most effective treatment for insomnia. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) recommends CBT-I as the first line treatment for chronic insomnia.  Dr. Mann has extensive training and experience in treating chronic insomnia, especially when there is co-occurring depression, anxiety, or PTSD.
